Default GT-K 500\550 vs GT3076R\GT3582R

Hi. Wondering what the GT-K 500-550 would compare to the GT3076R\GT3582R in terms of spool. Lots of talk regarding how good the GT-K turbos are, but do any actually have any data that would compare them? Eventually how they compare to each other?

Reason for asking is because I have a 2.35l subaru project going, and considering going for a Turbonetics, provided they are actually better than the Garrett`s of same size.

Have heard of a 2l subaru with bigger cams etc that had 24psi~3500 on the GT3076R with a .63 A\R, and a 2.5l USDM STi engine with large cams that made 16psi~3500 on a GT3582R with a .82 A\R

If the GT-K series can do better than that, then they are worth the price. But based on other information and numbers both here and other places, they might be laggier.

Any help appreciated.

Regards
Tommy

Not specifically, but I did have a GTK500 and a dbb50 trim (pretty close to the 3076r) and the GTK does not spool as fast. Overall power output was fairly close though

thats the same thing im wondering. theres alot of talk how the gt-k line is supposed to be a better turbo than most in thier class, but i also hear how they are laggier than most, are not worth the extra money, and have no real data on them. even though i hear this almost everywhere i still think these turbos are badass and i still plan on getting one real soon. im also curious on the comparison of the GT3076r and the gtk-500.

I would also really like to know how they compare, i have really been thinking about a GTK 550 for my car, but would really like to know if they are better since the 35R can be had for a good amount less money.

If they spool slower and make the same power i would really like to know what the K stands for,

Someone from Turbonetics should let us know SOON
