Default GTK CHRA specs, and compressor maps?

Hi, new to the forum here and I'm going to imagine from reading here on this forum a bit, that this question is going to be tailored for Robert in Sales so if you read this Robert please input freely I've searched the net for some specific GT-K information and have ended up here, yet still empty handed.

First off, are these GT-K's spec'd out with a ceramic ball bearing CHRA or just a standard journal bearing cartridge?

Two, I've read on posts here that people who already own these units can send them back to Turbonetics to be rebuilt with a wet housing, but what do I need to write/say to purchased one prebuilt as such(wet CHRA)

Three, I have a twinscroll setup on my kitcar and if I purchase a GT-K, I'd most definitely need a divided housing. I'm looking at the 550, and the .82 turbine housing is a good a/r but not a divided setup. Does Turbonetics have any divided housing that fits the new F1 wheel in the 550, or can one be machined and ordered as such with a new GT-K?

And finally, where can I find a map on the GT-K 550? With the anti-surge housing I cannot use the standar 61 trim map as most have told me I should do. I'd like to know exactly what I'm looking at.

Great forum here. I'm a local Porsche junkie and look forward to utilizing one of these new GT-K's soon!

Regards,

-Adam

Well let me try to answer as many of the questions I can:

1. All GT-K turbos utilize a ceramic ball bearing. There is no such thing as a journal bearing GT-K

2. You can specify at the vendor level that you want the GT-K to be built with a wet bearing. The first units that were developed and shipped did not have a wet bearing option but I believe all current units can now be ordered with a wet bearing.

3. I'm not sure if there are any divided turbine housing options for the GT-K but I will try to get you a definite answer by tomorrow.

4. The compressor maps have yet to be released for the GT-K turbos but I will check on that as well.

Robert, thanks for the clear cut responses. It's nice to finally find a place to get this info, even if it was right in front of me the entire time.

No rush on it, but if you do happen to find out about a divided housing option for the GT-K 550 please feel free to advise me of it :P

Much appreciated!
