Default GTK 650 lag

My tuner is installing a GTK 650 on a 3.0 951. We have a full 4" intake, 3" custom downpipe, and a custom header system. All bolt on parts is from www.speedforceracing.com

HP goals are different based on the track being driven. We have the ability to adjust timing and such from the cam gear and our software. My tuner tells me that we will easily get 15psi by 3500rpm using this turbo. I'm thinking that it might be too big, but we have very good tuners working on this, and the motor is perfectly balanced with a big valve head, lightened crank, 8.5 compression, 104.1 pistons, and a custom intake for this setup.

Based on this information, is this turbo going to spool well or should we have a GTK 550 ready to install?

Thanks,

George

Well the GT-K 650 uses the F1 version of the T4 P trim turbine. It is a little on the large side even for a 3.0L motor but if the motor flows well and the tuner is doing his job I think you'll be just fine. The GT-K 550 is not just a step down in turbine (F1 T3 Stage 5) but also a step down in compressor (GTK61). The GT-K 650 has a much higher overall potential then with its HP66 compressor.
