Nice, what are you running for a Hybrid? We ran a GTK 1000 w/ GTK 850 Turbine housing on a 91 Eclipse GSX 2.0L. Customer made well over 700 WHP at 42 PSI and is in the mid - 9 sec 1/4s now.

Let me know what your Hybrid is and what power levels you get, good information for future specs.

Thanks

Cool, I hadn't heard about any other custom built GTK's until now. Sounds like an awesome turbo you've got on that dsm. Our turbo is basically one step down from that.

The turbo is a full GTK 850 compressor side with the an .81 ar T4 turbine housing (like the gtk 850 but with a 3" exducer), but with the P trim F1 turbine wheel from the GTK 650. We also went with a wet bearing housing to keep it cool in the engine bay.

Our goal for the car is 600+whp @ 16-18psi now, but in the future we'll be aiming for 700+whp when we upgrade to a standalone EMS and dual pump fuel system. This turbo should easily deliver!

Any more details on this car ? Sounds cool !!!

Im considering a GTK-1000 for a 2.35 Subaru build, although was concerned about spool, as its a manual gearbox, and the car is a road car.
But we'd like enough power to go pretty fast like your Eclipse

Not an easy question to answer. HP figures do tend to vary around the world. Often US WHP figures, can be closer to flywheel figures here in the UK.

But enough power to propel a 3200lb, 4wd saloon car, to very low 10's, maybe even a few 9's on road legal tyres ( ie not a drag radial, but a Kumho, or Toyo soft compound E-marked tyre ), manual gearbox.
And traps at 140+ would be nice too.

But as US figures go, perhaps 8-900WHP ? or a genuine 850-900 at the crank.
Oh, and fast spooling....lol

I dont want much.

If you are looking at the GTK, then the 850 is your best bet... I feel the 1000 would be too laggy for your goals.

The other option would be to get the GTK 1000 and see how the lag is, if it's too much, swap out for the GTK 850 exh housing like my other customer did.

Sounds like a plan......

In terms of mm. What size would the GTK-1000 compressor be comparable to ?

T70 ? T76 ? etc etc
