What would be the spool difference between the 2 a/r's and how much hp would i pick up??
Another question : Can the 76mm front housing cover fit on the back housing,wheel.ect. of the 72mm??
The larger A/R is definitely going to spool slower but how much will depend on how much exhaust gas your motor is making. Where are you seeing full boost at now? If you aren't choking out on HP at the top end then there isn't much benefit to switch unless you are at the maximum amount of air that the smaller A/R can flow and are looking to move up. Just switching along and keeping the same boost pressure (when you are not at the max of your current A/R) won't net you any additional HP. On the other item are you asking if the HP76 compressor cover can fit on the HP72 compressor wheel? If so is there any reason you want to switch?

thanks for reply robert
the car has been down for awhile and i cant remember exactlly
i think it was 4500 or something..i cant be exact..lol sorry!!
Im just wanting to make more hp out of this turbo if its possible??
Theres a few 72mm turbo's(not turbonectics) making 900rwhp with a similar engine set-up as mine
on supraforums.
I dont understand why mine isnt close to theres??
I made 862 horsepower on boost but thats a STD number.
About the 76mm question..I was just curious about that..im still Learning about all these options and configurations on turbo's
One last question: Whats the Difference between the Super T 72 and the Mid Frame 72mm. ??
It says that the Mid frame will make more hp..why is that??
I

Mid frame turbos are extremely large units that use the same bearing section as the Y2K turbos. Their power levels are in line with the compressor wheel you run on them. If you ran an HP72 in the Midframe you'd be in the same power range as you would with the Super T72. As for your power output you are within 38 HP of the other cars you are referring too so there is dyno variance to account for as well as like you said differences in motors. You said they are similar but anything from the manifold to the cams to the cam timing can affect. 38HP can be found in a lot of places. Even just timing.
