Default New turbo

Hi guys
I have a new Turbonetic Torque Master turbo. I would like to know at what pressure the little egbv opens and is it possible to adjust it to keep it closed longer. I would like to max out at 28 to 30 lbs.
Thanks

What is your specific application? Ford, Chevy, dodge?

Thanks Robert. I was just thinking it would be a lot easier to do any adjusting while it was off, instead of trying after the install.
Thanks again[/quote]

well 28 PSI is the peak pressure the unit will run but from what I understand the factory ECU controls boost based on oil temps.

Default New Turbo

Hi,
Got the turbo installed and made a few runs. Seemed OK. I am in the process of finishing a trip to Wy and Texas and back to Wv. I can't seem to get over 15# of boost and the et's are running higher than usual. I checked the computer and had P1247 and P1248, which were low boost or no boost detected. I pulled all the boots and cleaned any oil out and still have low boost. Any Ideas? I also installed the high output exhaust plate along with MBRP 5" exhaust and Volant fresh air intake. Can't figure out what is happening..........
Thanks

Do you have an ECU programmer or injector upgrade?

No new injectors but I have a programmer (Hypertech III). I did find out what was causing the problem; I had bought a boost fooler (regulator) that hooked into the MAP and as soon as I took that off, everything worked fine. Good boost, lower EGT's, and bunches more power. Sorry for the post (without checking EVERYTHING).
Michael
