Default Your TN Z

Hey, have you had a chance to Dyno tune your Z? How did you do?
I'm curious how difficult it was to tune with the UTEC.

I also have a UTEC and am wondering what is in store for me when I get my build complete and bring it in for the tune. Thanks.

lol howd you know that I had UTEC?? It is very difficult to tune from nothing. Where are you from it might be a good idea to search for wrx/evo tuners in your area because that is where most of the knowledable ones ares Of course unless your near some of the popular 350z tuners Sharif/AAM!!! Id say it is worth it to have them start your tuning then maybe you could try to pick it up from there. There is also a UTEC program out there on m3z somewhere that is very helpful!

Default UTEC question???

Just Lucky Guess. I have a UTEC in my Z and I'm having a few bugs I have yet to work out. Glad to see your is working well.

WHen I start my car, it seems fine. Rev's OK. But as soon as I start to move, the car BUGS OUT...the VDC, SLIP & Brake light all come on and then the idle gets a little erradic. The car will run and drive, but every stop sign/light means I have to play with the gas to keep the throttle alive.
I have the base map set to accommodate 380cc injectors even though I have 550cc's. This is the MRC strategy to help me to get their shop on a conservative map setting. I think this leaves me to running extremely rich, which conversly sets off my readings and upsets the ECU giving bad readings. The base map also has no boost values. I am not suposed to run boost until I can get to their shop.

What injectors do you have. ANy problems at all.
Maybe I should consider your map depending on setup specifics, to see if I can get this thing running properly?
What do you think.

Problems solved...
Erratic idle and stalling - fault of injectors. Course of action - change to 440 RC injectors. Car now runs like a dream.

VDC Lights etc, cause, I had to remove the steering shaft to make room to remove the aftermarket headers I had on previously. I must not have put it back exactly as I found it...probably off by a or 2 teeth.
Secondly, the speed sensor is going off on my right front wheel. Don't know how to reset that one...I guess I can do the hokey pokey with the ecu reset and see if that helps, but the steering will have to be redone, most probably by the dealer, because I have spent too much time under my car as it is.

But at least its driveable, and oh yeah.. I've got my BOOST BACK!!!
