Default T-Netics Silicone Hump Hoses Question.

Hi. I recently picked up a 2.5" blue hump hose to run in my IC piping system.

I notice that the T-netics hose is only 2 ply, whereas all my other IC couplers are thicker, 4 ply. Should I be worried about blowing this coupler out or having inflamation problems running 35+psi with this coupler?

It shouldn't be an issue but I'll see if I can find the max pressure rating of those in the morning.

Hmm, well I run 30psi daily, and plan on running 32-35 on race gas at the track. I have a big gathering coming up in August and the last thing I want to happen is blow out and IC coupler, although I doubt it would at 35psi.

I think I'll take it back and pick up a 4 ply unit.

Turbonetics should change over to all 4 play stuff.

Turbonetics does have thicker HD versions of couplers that are good to 60 PSI but they are not "hump" houses as you mentioned. If you can replace the hump hose with a straight coupler you could use an HD one thats good for 60 PSI.

Well I have to have a hump hose for this application. I didn't have a hump hose prior to this, and I found some stress cracks in my sheet metal intake manifold, and this hump hose will help to get rid of stress.

Understood. If you need a hump hose unfortunately Turbonetics does not make one for over 30 PSI. Sorry bro.
