I have a bunch of 283 stuff also . 3" stroke helps the block live
I could kill two birds with one stone by upgrading the twins on the pickup and using one of the 64's with the 4.6. save the other 64 for a spare or other project. I see the 5.0 fords making decent power with the 64.
my only question is the p-trim with a larger housing going to get me at least 6000rpm with the 283? I should reach my target with 15psi

Hmmm..... it might with a larger A/R. You might want to give Ed or Steve a call at the shop tomorrow and they can run the numbers for your motor through the system and see if it will work for you...
