Default Power sputters

OK so here is the problem...

When i am around 3500-4500 rpms in my scion tC and I give it gas it accelerates great and hits boost nearly instantly. But, soon after 4500 rpms it starts to sputter and loses power and gains back repeatedly. It feels like it just looses pull. I thought it may be my clutch going out but there is no problem between gears like slippage or anything. I need help because I have no idea what to do or buy to fix this. Fuel pump? Clutch? Plug wires?...something simple?

Spark blow out? Try gapping your plugs down a little lower. Could be bad wires too. Ive had my wires cause that before.

What would you suggest gapping them at? I have them at .44
That is a huge relief though bc that sounds like what it is. I changed my plugs about a week ago, then it started.

I cant say what to put them at since I dont know Scions or what they like, but its something to try.

Factory gap on SRT4s is .50 but I have to have mine lowered to about .30 to avoid the blow out.

I agree sounds like spark blow out. I think Munch had his plugs gapped to .035. Do a quick search on this forum and you should be able to find what it was gapped to.

Ok so i checked the plugs I put in about a week ago and that was the problem. The second one's tip was completely gone. Do you know why that would have happened so fast? They are the NGK Iridiums. Also, I took those back and got the same thing and gapped them at .035. No problems at all...runs great.

Thanks for the help!
