First thing would be to contact Turbonetics at 805-581-0333 and ask for Benita. She will issue a WA number for the Unichip. It will get sent back and Turbonetics will work with Unichip to figure out if a new one goes out or if that one can be repaired.

Talked with Benita and she said the Uni-chip doesn't get sent to Turbonetics. Since the rights to the kit were sold to Treadstone I have to deal with them or Uni-chip directly.

Robert, do you know if the uni-chip makes any fuel adjustments for partial throttle boost. Seems I'm capable of hitting boost while accelerating in closed loop. STFC and LTFC are always around 0. AFR steady at 14.7 just like stock.

It should be making some adjustments yes. It does take throttle position from the ECU so its certainly capable of adjusting fuel and ingition timing based on several load points including throttle position.

ok i understand it has to do that to comp for the larger injectors, but how does it sense when boost comes on in partial throttle with no map sensor?

Unfortunately it doesn't/can't account for boost without a map sensor youre correct however when the turbo gets up to positive pressure speeds there should be enough draw across the MAF for the unichip to notice and adjust the fuel trim

ok, back from the dead. Still havent figured out the cutting out issue since this is not my daily. Have another question thoe that might have to do with the same problem. At idle if you listen to my exhaust it has a spudder almost like a miss fire. As it does this the rpm varies slightly and the engine shakes. To me it seems like a miss but with change of plugs it still happens. Never had any codes for it, or driveablility issues for that matter. Figured if it always misses at idle I would throw a code? Don't know, convinced its the uni-chip but can't afford to upgrade. AFR at idle is always 14.7 steady. Injectors were soldered in instead of crimped and not leaking gas at the O rings, so I don't know.

That might be timing getting pulled hard at idle based on the AFR the ECU is seeing. Have you tried cleaning the O2 or looking at it's readings?

I have a scan gauge so I can get you any info you might need, just let me know. Also what would I use to clean the O2 sensor? Only has 20k miles on it. Also looking back on my earlier post about the engine cut, I noticed when this happens the arf goes really rich for a split second. My stft is always around 0 when cruising and dont notice any spike. Of course this happens so fast my scan gauge might not pick it up.
