[SOLVED] my turbo is missing seals

If that filter is missing from your unit it's an issue as it acts as both a filter and oil restirctor

how can i tell if it's in there? just take my orginal restrictor out and look for copper inside the hole?

It should be blatantly obvious. If you look at the oil feed line where it connects to the bearing section oil inlet you should have a brass female end. If you look on there you should see the screen. Essentially if the oil feed of your turbo doesn't look like the female end of the picture Eddie posted you don't have one

You should probably order one along with your turbine housing if you don't.
