Your installing this all yourself correct? If you dont mind emailing or posting pics cause I'm ordering my water injection kit this week.

On another note. Will I need to get a retune for this to work? That would be my only problem since no one near me tunes this unichip.

No you don't NEED a retune to run this. You will just run a little richer with it. You COULD tune for more timing but you don't need to.

Can I run more boost on stock internals? Or is the HP gain from running cooler? On a scale of 1-10 how hard would this install be for a first timer. 1 being easy 10 being impossible?

Technically yes you could as this will make you run richer but its still more advisable to tune for it. Imagine what would happen if you ran out of water/meth at full boost and you weren't tuned for the higher boost.

A 1 quart tank usually lasts about a week for the average driver. Of course if you race the car every day it wont last that long.

yes I'm installing this myself. It is a rather simple install but I have run into quite a few snags. I'm going to try and do a write up for it but if you have any questions before I get to it feel free to ask.

As far as the install I'd say it's a 5. Only because the biggest problem i'm finding right now is the nozzle. I talked to a few custome fab places and they all say the same thing. You basically have to take the pipe into a metal fab shop and have them weld a small bung onto the pipe to screw the nozzle in.
You could just drill a hole, push the nozzle in, and JB weld the thing but that's ugly, not very durable, and could pose problems later. The custome welding would be an Ideal situation. In California it's a $100 job. They have to machine a bung small enough for the nozzle and then the TIG weld on aluminum.

Other than that the install is simple, especially if you have an electric boost gauge. I didn't so I had to do all kinds of fabrication for a MAP sensor and so on. I'll explain later.

The OE winshield washer reservoir is a 4 litter bottle and the pump runs 1 litter a minute at max dutycycle so you figure you have about 4 minutes until you run out at max duty cycle.

Unless you're making 1400HP and drag racing every second you won't run through 4 liters for quite a while. I know two built motor twin turbo 600+ hp cars running 1 quart tanks that last a week. Just make sure you are only spraying when you really need to. You don't necessarily need it to spray at 1-3 PSI so eliminate that area.

ya, the only way I see myself blowing through the whole 4 litters is on a road race track. two laps and i'll be done.

I'm setting it up to com on just after 3psi and it won't reach 85% duty cycle until 10psi so that gives some some margin for error.
You don't want to max out the pump right at your max psi.

I also thought of a different way to mount the nozzle. I went to Home Depot and bought a M8 X 1.0 HEX Nut. I'm going to then use the supplied M8 X .75 tap to rethread the nut. Then go and have the nut TIG welded onto the pipe. That should cut down the cost to about $50 or less.

I'll let you know...

Hey Jam, any updates on the kit? I'm waiting to see how you like it before I order it. Plus I wanna see if I can install this myself.
