Scion tC Internal Questions
Alright so I have the T'netics kit on my tC and I love it. The car feels great and is pretty fast. I have complimented the kit with the HKS axel back and invidia s-pipe.
The question I have is what do I need to do to make my car where I dont have to be afraid to get on it more and where I can turn up the boost to around 12psi or so. I dont want to take a chance on blowing the engine or anything of that nature. I also dont want to buy internal parts I dont need or wouldnt utilize. I see that ZPI has a stage 2 head for the car along with a bunch of other stuff but the head itself is over $2000...do i need that? Would it be safe with pistons, rings, and rods? If so what do you guys recommend?

Well for starters I wouldn't go much above 8-9 PSI without building the motor first. If you do then I would say just a Walbro 255 lph pump and some additional tuning... I would also highly recommend running a Spearco Water Injection System to keep things safe...

Well adding boost isnt really the big thing now i guess...i just want to feel like if I choose a day where I just want to give the car a good run I can and not be afraid. Do you thing on 8pis there is any chance of hurting the engine? What are some safe power adders for the car? Can you give me a link for the water injection kit?
Sorry about all of the questions...I really dont have anybody else to turn to about this.

You should not be scared at 8 PSI. People are running their cars HARD on this kit at 8 PSI. Theres a forum a little below this one for the Spearco Water Injection System...

if u wanna run more boost ur defo gonna need a uprated fuel pump and a few other fuelling mods and defo watch out for ur knock readings!!!
its a Toyota Engine so its has serious over engineering!!trust me i know!! so i reckon with proper fuelling Mods and Mapping u could easily Run 12psi and 14psi on overtake boost on stock internals!!!!

What fueling mods would you suggest? Fuel Rail, Pump,...what else? Like I said I want it to be safe if I do that...and of course I would have a manual boost controller so it didnt run that high boost all of the time.

Fuel pump at the least. You'll need to make sure you get the Unichip tuned for it..
