Default help choosing Intercooler size

Need some information on choosing the proper size and either vertical or horizontal flow intercooler. This will be going into a Thunderbird SC with 1.7L Autorotor making about 18-20psi of boost, blower outlet temps will be around 350-375 and looking to cool below 140. Expected CFM usage of 700-750 and should make just about 400RWHP thru an automatic.

Honestly the best bet for this would be to use a intercooler request form. You basically tell Turbonetics the dimensions you need it to fit into and the numbers you stated above along with an overall rough drawing and they can spec out the right size core and design for your car. Call 805-581-0333 and ask for on of the sales guys. They can get you the form and work with you on which core to get. I could guesstimate a standard core for you based on whats available now but it may not fit in your application (physically). If you want a standard one from the catalog let me know and I can run some numbers.

I have a 30" wide x 24" high x 6" deep opeining that the intercooler with end tanks could fit into, with other room available for the tubing. I am really tyring to figure if a vertical or horizontal sytle will be best for my needs.

The main reason to choose one over the other is the position of the inlet and outlet pipes. If you for instance need the outlet to come out directly up over the rad support or at a 90 vertical from the core then vertical would work. In most cases horizontal works just fine.
