2x Turbo for race engine
I have a 3.0 Porsche 911 race car currently running with a T3/T4 mixed setup (Turbonetics / Hitachi), 2x Turbonetics WG and a rather big intercooler.
To improve reliability and gain power I have been recommended the following setup - remember it is a Twin Turbo, thus only 1500cc per turbo.
Turbonetics T3/T4 0.48 Stage 3 Trim 50.
a) The need is power btw 4000-7000 - is this a good setup?
b) What does Trim 50 mean? (I'm a newbie to turbos).
I currently have a problem with white smoke on tap-off only (track marshals are killing me!). Oil temp and pressure is fine, we use gravity drain (about 50mm only) and boost is about 1.3bar. Some have suggested it is because of the Hitachi turbos - will the Turbonetics setup cure this problem.
